Sisters attend the San Diego Highland Games

This past Saturday Lynda, Jody, and Tammy attended the Highland games in San Diego. It was a very hot day but full of fun activities. When we got there we had to park at the top of the hill. It was great catching a tram. Once we got into the games we realized that we had for gotten Aunt Marilyn's book, "Tartan Thunder" so we got back on the tram and went back up the hill to get the book. We wanted to show it to the people at the Clan Grant booth. Lynda had talked to them already at the games in Costa Mesa. Since her last visit they had gotten the book and started to read it. They were very excited to meet relatives of the author.
Once we visited with the Clan Grants we went to the Main stage for the opening ceremonies. Part of the opening ceremonies was a large band which included bagpipes, and drums. They were awesome sounding! Lynda was very excited. She was taking lots of pictures.
Lunch was great. Tammy had a meat pie, Jody had fish and chips and Lynda had bangers.

Check out the book our Great Aunt wrote called, "Tartan Thunder". You'll love it and you won't be able to put it down. Its a Historical Romance of the history of Scotland.
